House of Remy began in a large, thriving salon in Queensland that had been serving clients for over thirty years. Extensions were always part of the offering, but the right hair was never easy to find. Clients wanted something that lasted, felt natural, and behaved like their own hair. The market kept falling short.

So the search began. For nearly a decade, hair was sourced, trialled, and tested from across the globe — measuring quality, longevity, colour integrity, and how each strand behaved over time. Most did not make the cut.
The hair that finally met the standard is 100% Cuticle Remy human hair, double drawn & ethically sourced, with donors fairly compensated. It was the hair the brand had been searching for.

Every extension is made with hair that still has its original cuticle intact and facing downward — the same direction natural hair grows from the scalp. This is the highest grade of hair available in the industry. It ensures your extensions are smooth, manageable, and blend seamlessly with your natural hair without tangling or matting over time.
Many brands on the market provide single drawn hair — which means the ends taper and thin out. We only manufacture double drawn hair. After the initial assembly, our team filters out every short strand and replaces it with a longer one. The result is hair that is thick, full, and consistent from the bond to the very tips of the extension — every single time.
Each bundle of hair is ethically sourced, then transferred to manufacturing for a slow, water-based colour process over 6-8 weeks. Throughout production, we closely monitor the hair's PH balance, elasticity & porosity at every stage to ensure the overall hair integrity is never compromised during development.

Our colours are designed to behave & fade naturally over time (similar to our own natural hair) giving both clients and stockists confidence that every order will match the shades they know and trust.
This hair is then applied to extension bonds, where final inspections are carried out before being promptly dispatched, to ensure you only receive the best experience possible with our service & products.
